If you're looking to get out of the dungeon on the final days of holidays...
Had enough of being stuck inside?
Spinning spinning spinning like a hamster going no place fast?
We'll after a long hard night of new years gala at some fine Indian food joint, my body was aching to head out. So, I did.
But, I forgot about the tiny bit of snow fall we had between the last rain fall (which froze up, just perfectly, the shoulders of the roads) to now.
Getting from downtown to hull is always a messy situation.
Then I jumped on the old 105 thinking it would be a good time. But, the tiny snow fall we had created a slush fest on top of the finely iced shoulder.
So, it sucked big bananas.
Managed to get all the way to Tulip on my way to Wakefield.
Turned the sludge festive two wheel ride around only to find Radapaw ridge climb looking me in the face later in the ride.
Good little climb and a good bomb down. Good thing I fixed the brakes (I'm typically lazy when it comes to cleaning or fixing my ride) or I'd end up bombing through the old 105!
I then took Notch road to Ch Montange. Not bad. I'm sure I pissed off a couple of drivers cause there wasn't all that much room on the climb nor on the decent. F-k'm!
That was the fun part of the ride. Pretty dry and no road crap sticking.
So, if you are looking for a good time outside on your ride, yah may want to hit some of the back country roads... that's my next game plan anyhow. It was good for a little while (old 105 etc..). Love a good rain fall in the winter, brings some good riding time.
Enjoy.
here's a couple of pics cause I felt like a tourist today.
Good climb time (short but sweet)
