-10 and sunny conditions were perfect today on the trails that I usually ride in the spring, summer and fall.Saturday January 13, hardly any snow or ice patches. Is anyone into training in the winter on hard pack snow conditions, country backroads and trails away from cars and hopefully snowmobiles when there is snow. Does anyone know of any studded ice tire events on Ski hills.

on the wrong board for that... yah gotta go to the alleycat board. All sorts of underground stuff going on.
oh how I would love to get away from the formal racing crap and have some good old home grown races with no BS... (i.e. insurance companies and all the rest of those heavy duty beaucratic entities hanging off the race events...).
Lots of places to bike right now.
Would be fun to have an 80km race right about now...
I think last year there was a pretty good event put on at Camp Fortune support by Joe Mommas. It was a downhill event. Very cool it was.
Getting away from the norm and going against the grain.
Neat it was.
