I figured i will post something here as well (i misunderstoods someone posted about DH in the winter at fortune, but i think this is a good reminder).
I know a lot of you guys continue to ride in the winter. the fact is riding in the park is off limits (including fortune as it abides by GP rules). PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT jeopardize all the work that IMBA canada as well as Gary and the DH folks has done to maintain access for us. The rule is simple, ride the park from May to the end of november.
the trails in the park are full of XC skiers and they scream RATHER LOUDLY when someone even brings dog on trail. could you imagine what would happen if they bumped into a mtb?? it will only take ONE COMPLAINT to get us out. the XC skiers have A LOT of pull with the NCC and frankly, we don't. we have worked hard to maintain what we have. please don't be selfish and get the rest of us kicked out.
