would it be possible to add "ratings" for difficulty of the trails, from like easy=*, med=** and hard=***. it would guide alot of newcomers (such as myself) to let us know which spot is best to start at.

just a suggestion, but whatever.

Difficulty is very subjective so its a hard thing to be accurate/correct with, but the OMBA map for SMH has information on relative difficulty.

(SMH and Kanata lakes are almost the same place and the names are often used interchangably)

I've taken GPS coords of the main intersections in KL and would like to help add them to the map. Who do I contact?

I went to the Huntmar area today for the first time in probably a year or two and I hadn't realized they got rid of the bridge and parking area to get in there.

Is there an alternative parking spot nearby? My friends and I tried parking just on the shoulder but the property owner didn't want us parking there. After some chatting with him he agreed to let us park in a parking spot on his land, but it would still be nice to have somewhere more official and safe to park.

Any ideas?

Which property owner was that? At the top of the hill on the right (there's a wide gravel shoulder that fits about 3 cars)? I might be wrong, but I seriously doubt that this shoulder is his property. He can bitch all he wants, there aren't any no parking signs there and it's unlikely the city will come and tow ppl away nor would the landowner pay to have ppl towed.

You *could* park at the very small driveway south of the trails on the west side of the road. Not the gravel parking lot marked with trespassing signs...no...that would be too easy...;-)...it's a small two/three car driveway to nowhere just by the small bridge crossing the creek.

But, save yourself some hassle and just ride from GFR.
