Now that looks like a damn good start, guys. My hat goes off to you.
To humour me - All differentiating naming practices aside, which one of those squigly lines off of Huntmar would be Outback? / Duncan |

*Very* nice map Joe! ..I think I'm going to print a couple on tyvek (large one for the car and small one for the camelback)
am I right in guessing that the satellite was to the south/west and thus shrinks the image in the vertical? I guess this would make putting on a scale a bit difficult yes? (because you'd need a different one for each axis.) |

I'd love to be able to get a large size print of it. If they could be printed for a decent price maybe they could be sold with a little bit added to help support the site.

A MAP!!
Prayers do get answered. I don't know anyone around here - but my thanks for the time and effort pulling that together. Now I can fall down in a whole new area... |

QUOTE(pyxen @ May 12 2005, 07:36 AM) Nah..take the Terryfox exit. Head North on Terryfox, and don't get off until "Goulbourn Forced Road" (at All-Saints high school). Hang a left onto GFR, and watch for the parking lot on the right after the 'Hidden Driveway' sign. Where are you getting all these satellite maps from, not google earth that's for sure. |

If they could be printed for a decent price maybe they could be sold with a little bit added to help support the site. Here's what I did.. *might* work for some of y'all. I have an HP Photosmart printer, when I print the .pdf I click on the printer properties button then on the 'Features' tab there's 'poster printing' checkbox, simply check that & then specify in the drop-down how many pages you want it across, worked like a charm for me, now I've got a 3x3 lettersize map that's pretty darn useable... little spot of duct tape & Bob's yer uncle (ya wee beasty). Hope that helps, hope to see some of you out on the trails! (I'm new but with a vengeance) Watch for the guy with the PRIMUS shirt. Say HEY PHY!!! if you see me. smooches, » Phył . . . |

Are there GPS data points available to download for these trails? I'd love to import them into my GPS.

QUOTE(joe @ May 8 2005, 10:46 AM) Well for all of you who have been asking.. here is the Kanata Lakes Trail Map! This map will grow over time.. and if you have anything to add, just let me know. Download the map, make your updates and email is back to me! To download this file in PDF format (For printing and zooming), right click save as this link: This map is pretty good. I have one issue as a newbie. I was on the trails for the first time with my kids and there are no markers at junction points on the trails. Has anyone thought about laminating copies of the map and posting a "you are here" at these intersections. At one point we had no idea where we were. :*: This post has been edited by Konadude: Jul 22 2005, 09:24 PM |
